Independent IT Review

Is your IT support delivering what you pay for?

Recurring problems, rising bills and unclear advice can leave you wondering what you're paying for. We review how your IT is being managed and explain what's working, what needs attention and what to do next.

For: businesses with an existing IT providerWhen: before a renewal, purchase or provider change
A second opinion

An independent check on your IT provider.

We compare your service agreement with invoices, support records and available information about your systems. That helps us check whether the work matches the promises, rather than rely on your provider's monthly report alone.

Your provider may already be doing a good job. If the review confirms that, we'll tell you. If something needs attention, we'll explain why it matters to your business.

What we check

Your managed service provider (MSP) is the company you pay for ongoing IT support. These are the questions we use to review its work.

What the points mean

These are the maximum points available in this example, not a business's results. We agree the checks and scoring to suit your business before work begins.

Points are earned for checks confirmed as met, with partial credit where only part of a check is met. Unverified items are recorded separately, and we explain how missing information limits the result.

Business impact comes first. Any urgent issue is highlighted even when the overall score is high.

A straightforward process

How your review works

  1. Tell us your concern

Use the introductory call to explain the problem or decision you want help with.

  2. Agree the work

Before you commit, we agree what we'll check, the fee, a schedule and the information needed.

  3. We review your IT

You share the agreed information. We carry out the review and send you the written report.

  4. Talk through the findings

We explain your priorities, answer questions and help you decide what to ask your provider.

Practical questions before you start

What information will I need to provide?

Usually your IT support agreement, recent invoices, service reports and a sample of support tickets. You can share copies with sensitive details removed. We agree any system access with you first and use view-only access where practical.

If records or access need to come from your provider, we'll agree how to involve them with you. Missing information is listed in the report so you understand the limits of the review.

How long will the review take?

The schedule depends on your business's size, the checks you've chosen and how quickly the information is available. We'll confirm expected timing, what you need to provide and when we'll meet before work begins.

Does this include detailed Microsoft 365 security checks?

The standard review looks at the agreed service and security records. A closer examination of Microsoft 365 sign-in settings, email protection and account access can be included through our Microsoft 365 Security Review, with its own agreed scope and fee. You can also book that review separately. Your report explains what was checked and any limits.

Your choice

Optional support after your review

If you choose to compare IT companies, we can help assess their proposals against what your business actually needs. If you'd like regular second opinions as things change, ongoing advisory is available as a separate engagement.

You decide what happens next. Your current IT team can carry out the recommended changes. The review doesn't commit you to follow-up services or a replacement IT support contract.

Any implementation work, equipment sales or paid referral arrangements are explained and agreed separately before you proceed.
